Perspective

On Sunday when we left church, all the cars were full of election flyers. Darin brought them home and into the house with all our stuff. He later showed them to the kids to see what they would say. He talked to them both about voting for the president, and proceded to ask them who to vote for.

Jordan: Pointed to Obama and said "He has his hand raised, so he is being good and waiting for his turn to talk."

Spencer: Pointed to McCain and said "He looks happy, the other guy looks mad."

Later we asked again and Jordan said "The brown skinned one" and Spencer said "John McCaib"

So, we are split in our house.

Tonight for Family Home Evening Darin did a really nice lesson on sharing. We took turns sharing toys, shared M&M's, etc. To wrap up the lesson, Darin asked each kid "are you going to share your toys?" Jordan and Spencer were both in the positve, so Darin said "Lanny are you going to share your toys?" He looked up and in a firm voice said "No." We laughed hysterically!!
