School Starts

Yeah!! Summer is over-back to school time!!!

Jordan is now in second grade! She was very excited. We went to the Open House on the Friday before, so she was able to meet her teachers. Her reading and writing teacher is the epitome of an elementary school teacher-young, cute-long blond hair-just looks like what you would expect an elementary teacher to look like. Her name is Mrs. Harvey. The math and science teacher-the Spanish portion is Sra. Foley. She seemed very nice as well. We did find out that Jordan and her best friend Lizzie were being separated this year-the were in K and 1st together. Probably a good thing to let them get out on their own. Jordan seemed to be ok with it since she was still with her friend Karly. She was happy to see all her friends at the Open House

Here's our beautiful second grader!! Thanks for the cute dress Aunties!

And introducing our KINDERGARTENER....

What a handsome fella!!

Little brother has to get in on the action. Stay tuned...he starts preschool next week.

And here's the new backpack...Spencer and Landon's new obsession: Mario. They both have the same backpack and a Mario lunchbox that lights up as well!!Awww....the "pro" with the "rookie." Show him the ropes, Jordan!

Jordan's backpack was filled to the brim with her supplies. "It's too heavy" she said:)
Just as with his big sister, we took Spencer to the cafeteria to find his class. It is a bit hectic and chaotic the way they do it at Rose Hill. All the kindergartners go in and sit at the table and lots of parents are there, too. Then we could walk down to the class with the kids. I think I need to suggest a better way of doing it. Spence was one of the first kids and was a big overwhelmed when the room filled up. But he did really well overall.

We were a little bummed because I know 4 other kids in the program, none of which are in his class. Including the little girl who lives on our street. Ah well, he'll make friends anyway.

Spence and daddy
The one time he looked a bit nervous.Walking down the hallway to the classroom.

Spencer at his seat in Sra. Hoo's classroom."um, what have you gotten me into here mom...?"

Here are the kids when Sra. Hoo was teaching the kids the "quiet signal." I was glad to see Spencer really listening and paying attention.

So I now have 2 elementary school kiddos! Man does time fly!

Time does really go by so so fast! I can't believe Bree is in Kindergarten as well. It's so fun to see her so excited! She loves school. But Elle and I really miss her during the day. Ahh...growing pains :) Wow, 2 in school. Good for you!! It's so amazing.... I can remember when we were both single and going to the singles ward together :) Times have changed! For the better :)

I think they are the best dressed kids on the first day of school if I say so myself. They definitely are very cute. I love them all! Love Auntie Karin
