Ocean City Part 2

We had such a wonderful time in Ocean City, here are some more highlights.

Winter Festival of Lights

Every year in Ocean City, they do a lights festival along a beach and around a little inlet. It is really neat. They have a display for all of the 12 days of Christmas, and many other fun displays. You ride a little trolley, which the children loved. The last time we went it was soo cold, but this time it wasn't too bad. We also arrived early and by the time we left, the line was extremely long. It was such a nice evening.

I wish the pictures could do it justice. The lights were so beautiful, especially with the reflection on the water.

Assateage Island Park

I have heard so much about Assateage, so when we realized it was not far at all from Ocean City, we decided it would be a great outing after church on Sunday. We got up there and were even happier when there was no one at the guard of the National Park, so instead of going to the free beach at the beginning Island, we drove onto the Park. We were so glad we could since that is were we saw the horses.

We saw a group of these little creatures as we drove along. Cute!

The beach at Assateague is gorgeous! It was so windy that day, so we didn't stay too long, but there were wind surfers in the water. You could barely see them, but it was cool to watch their parachutes move down the water. I can't wait to come back and camp here in nice weather.

We were lucky and got to see some of the famous horses. We pulled over to see them and the kids loved it. I was taking a picture and one of the horses walked over and put his head in the mouth. Later when I got out to take more pics, a horse walked over to the car again. The kids were thrilled, and thought it was hilarious that he horse put his head in the window. It was pretty cool.

Here is the friend we made:)

The Beach
We visited the beach a few times while we were in Ocean City. It wasn't as cold as previous years, so that was really nice. It was pretty windy at times, but didn't seem to deter the children from the serious business of playing. Jordan loves the beach and could stay all day. She loves to dig in the sand, and was quite happy to find a stick to be able to write in the sand. Her brothers wanted to do the same things, so it was cute. The loved digging in the sand like little doggies. I loved the pics of the wind blowing the flaps of their hats...so cute. We also picked up shells since the tide was out and there were lots of pretty shells. We have decided that if we every come into some serious money, we will have a beach home-we all love it so much!!!

A serious sand artist!!

Such cute little boys. Landon would walk toward the water and Spencer would grab him and bring him back.

I followed Lanny forever to get a pic with both of his had flaps blowing in the wind. It was so cute.

More fun on the beach:

I love this cute face...such kissable cheeks!!

The signs say to "leave your footprints only"....Jordan left a little more than that:)
